What do I want my life to look like?
When I was a little girl, I looked forward to getting the New York Newsday every Sunday for a couple of reasons. One reason was to read "Kidsday" which had the comics and games for kids. The other reason was to look at all the different pools that were advertised with the Kidsday. I imagined my family having pools like that in our backyard. It seemed so nice to have pool. I always wanted one, but I never mentioned it to anyone. The pools that were advertised seemed like they were made out of wood and they seemed like great backyard pools.


What do I want my work/career to look like?
I would like to be a pharmacy technician in the beginning and then advance.

Hey everyone!
You would not believe what happened yesterday! I was with my brother girlfriend at New York and Company at Greenbrier Mall so that she could return merchandise that she purchased. While she was at the register, I noticed a big Help Wanted sign near the register. I inquired about it and it turns out that they are hiring! I asked for an application and the store manager gave it to me.

Anyway, I ate my Dippin Dots ice cream and filled out the application at the same time. When I went to submit the application, the manager gave me an interview on the spot. Can you imagine how I looked during the interview? I definitely did not plan to have an interview. Sweat pants and a rock band Tee shirt are DEFINITELY NOT interview wardrobe!!

The manager also mentioned the details of the job, for example, how the hours are performanced based. She really let me know that the company does not play around. There is also a strict dress code. The  employees need to dress in black and white. Colors are not allowed!

I have an interview on Wednesday, but I have not prepared for it. It will be a growing experience for me because I might take a bus to place that I been to!

a new start

Hello everyone!

Well...I have decided to start this blog for anyone that has a new start in life. Whether it be a new relationship, a new career, etc....etc.....

For the past 33 years I have been living one life. Nowadays, I have a completely new life. I have to admit that I am a bit apprehensive. It is scary to live in a new place where you don't know where everything is and you have no way of getting around.

I would like this blog to be of some sort of support for people such as myself who is afraid to take chances.
